Ultragrain Brand Flours are formerly Eagle Mills Brand Flour made with Ultragrain.
I’d love to try this flour.
You can certainly enter the contest, but you can also look for it on shelves. What are of the country are you in?
I make homemade bread at least 1 or 2 times weekly. I purchase flour by the 25 lbs bags and that usually does not get me through the month. There are some brands out there I have learned the hard way not to purchase ever again. I had never heard of Eagle Mills until I joined Bite of the Best site. I would love to try Eagle Mills Flour.
Love whole wheat products!
Char1127, if you let me know your Zip Code, I can let you know if any stores carry it.
You can e-mail me at ultragrain@conagrafoods.com.
I loved the sample bag of Ultragrain I have tried, any idea where in 06471 can i purchase, I find KA everywhere which is very good product, but I was impress with the Ultra and how it behaves in my sour dough
JustJoe, I looked at the map and tried to find a store in your area that carries it. All Kroger stores carry the product under their brand, but I can’t seem to find one in your area.
You can try Costco; they may have it in a bulk pack. Otherwise, have your local grocer contact us at ultragrain@conagrafoods.com.
Keeping blood sugar levels even works with your fantastic products. I use your Ultragrain to make my wickedly delicious eggplant parmesan with our garden produce!
Barnloft, thanks for the posting. I’d love to see your recipe; perhaps we can share it on our Facebook page along with a picture of it next time you make it. E-mail me at ultragrain@conagrafoods.com if you’d like to share.
Don, Heard that Gold Medal is introducing a white whole wheat flour. How is that different from Eagle Mills White Whole Wheat – or is it basically the same thing?
Sara, I can’t speak for the new Gold Medal product since I don’t know much about it. Obviously, more whole grain options gives consumers more opportunities to incorporate whole grains, which is a good thing. There are many other white whole wheat products on the market, which I’m sure are fairly similar. What sets Ultragrain apart from those products is that we use specially selected wheat, wheat that is unique to the product, because it’s milder in flavor and slightly sweet. We also have a patent on our milling process, which means that our granulation is the finest available.
Thanks so much for that explanation, Don!
You won a BiteoftheBest.com contest to receive either one 5-pound bag of the award-winning Eagle Mills All-Purpose Flour Made with Ultragrain® -OR- 100% Ultragrain® White Whole Wheat Flour. You should be receiving your prize in a couple weeks
Thank you so very much I am awaiting the arrival and plan to make Halloween goodies with it. Will leave a note on how they turn out and grandchildren tested!
Love this flour. I go through 2 or 3 bags a month. I make pancakes and biscuits regularly for breakfast. I even add wheat germ and flax seed from time to time. My extremely picky, white bread only nieces and nephews love my pancakes and always ask their mom if she could learn to make aunt kimmmy’s pancakes. They don’t even know there good for them.
kimmy1,
Thanks for your post. We love to hear stories like this; I encourage you to “like” us on Facebook and post your pictures, recipes, etc.
Thank you again!
Don
Great flour, have to order more, converted many white bread recipes even used for a little extra fiber in a sticky bun (oh well so its not a perfect nutritional combination:)
great giveaway 🙂
We are trying to include more whole grains. What an easy way to do that.
Would love to see the difference in my baking with this flour.
This would be great to win–just in time for holiday baking!
I hope this enters me in the contest
I would love to try this flour. Thanks
Have been using the Ultra Grain White Whole Wheat Flour around 50 50 with bread flour to get outstanding results. This is in addition to being a great product for use with or in place pure whole wheat flour.
JustJoe,
Thanks for the positive comments. We find that a 50/50 blend is a great way to use the flour and increase the amount of whole grain nutrition.
If you don’t mind me asking, which store do you pick up the product from?
Also, would you be willing to “like” us on our Facebook page?
Thanks,
Don
Intermittent availability, IGA in East Haven, has it occasionally. Costco has it in double packs and even bumped into it at the Walmart superstore in Wallingford CT.
This would be perfect for my holiday baking. Thanks for the giveaway.
Really need this for the Holidays. They are coming quick
I use the unbleached flour all the time. I don’t have a problem substituting in recipes. Those of you who don’t know where to find it try Publix stores if you have one in your area.

Great time of year to have a flour giveaway! I’d make cookies.
The Ultra grain is a great product, use as maybe a 40% replacement for white flour in your recipe and gain, taste, fiber and feel a bit better about your self.

Thanks for the giveaway, great flour, adds to almost any recipe!
Thanks for the contesr, and for choosing me as a winner to try out the Ultra Grain, I found it to be a good replacement for my usual white flour, I will more than likely use it atleast half of the time of my usual kind. Thank You very much!!

I received my wonderful prize, am excited to try baking with my Ultragrain flour. Thanks, Bite of the Best and Eagle Mills!
Eagle Mills flour with Ultragrain looks like a wonderful product. I live on disability now and although you can sometimes find bread cheap, I will always prefer to make my own and know what goes in it. To be able to make it whole grain but taste like white is a great idea. I make many homemade gifts for people and sometimes it can be difficult to get people to try what looks healthy even if they know it’s better for them. This is a great way to introduce them to it. It’s wonderful to have new products that meet varied needs.
I received a bag of the Eagle Mills White Whole Wheat fluor to try. My favorite baking activity is bread. Usually I use either half whole wheat and half white or all whole wheat. I made six loaves using the Eagle Mills Fluor and found it to be very good. Two loaves were 100% Eagle Mills. The other four were half Eagle Mills and either white Fluor or home ground whole wheat. The Eagle Mills Fluor changed the texture and made the dough a little more sticky than I am accustomed too. Nevertheless, the end product was very tasty and highly rated by my children. I took pictures, but can’t seem to figure out how to attach them. I’llhave to post them on the Facebook page. Thank you Eagle Mills for the opportunity of trying this product. I do recommend you give it a try.
Brent, thank you so much for trying the flour and writing about it. I encourage you to share some pictures on our Facebook page, at facebook.com/ultragrain.
