Every new student starts with the Decorating Basics class that includes fundamentals of baking a cake, making icing and using a decorating bag as well as the use of a variety of tips. Then, select either Flowers & Cake Design (focused on making flowers with royal icing, choosing colors, and the positioning elements of decorating) or Gum Paste and Fondant (covering cakes with fondant, making fondant bows and borders and gum paste flowers).
These classes provide additional interaction in and out of the classroom. Students receive more one-on-one guidance from instructors and have the opportunity to interact outside of class via a website especially dedicated to these courses, which also includes cake galleries, message boards, downloadable information, FAQs, hints and tips, and additional resources and links to stay involved. Cost is approximately $29.99 plus kit and supplies (unless you bring your own).

I think the other issue we face is that for many it is less expensive to buy off the doallr menu than it is to make a nutritious meal. I mean, I understand the issue myself, and I don’t even have kids! As a single woman, I do not have the luxury of excess cash that dual income families do, and I often waste food, due to the fact that it’s hard to make food for just one! I do save and eat leftovers, but it is very frustrating. I agree that community is key to a lot of these issues, but I also think capitalism has a huge role in this. Why do people drink milk full of hormones instead of organic (or better yet, goat’s or nut milks?)? The main reason is because we have a multi-billion doallr dairy industry that our economy depends on.
