Shaved ice is a summer treat that you can now make at home with Jelly Belly Ice Shavers. The electric ice shaver offers a see through cover to watch the process. It comes with four paper snow cones and spoon straws.

The Manual and Wheel-Top Manual shaver provides a hand crank to shave the ice. The ice shaving chamber is enclosed to protect fingers and a drip tray makes for an easy clean up.

You definitely need a strong arm to push the lid down on top of the ice without it springing back up and to crank it. The machine did provide thinly shaved ice, perfect for summer but that took awhile to get enough for one bowl. Since it takes so much time and effort, and I wouldn’t use it for more than 3 or 4 people. Not ideal for young kids to use.
