Earlier this year Mary Cantando approached me — and literally hundreds of other woman business owners who are members of the National Speakers Association — to submit with some pithy advice for other women entrepreneurs, to be included in her second annual page-a-day calendar.
“Your personal advice can be on the topic of strategy, life balance, marketing, or anything else that enhances your business or life…” wrote Mary in her email pitch. She continued to explain how if you were selected to be a part of her enterprise you would receive a press kit to customize to market your “Day” to your trade press as well as local newspaper, radio and television stations.
I figured, what the heck…and submitted an idea as I had never had a page in a calendar before. Until now that is, as my quote was selected and is in the calendar. My day is June 17.
Here’s part of Mary’s suggested press release (that I was supposed to customize)…..

How you think when the economic crisis will end? I wish to make statistics of independent opinions!
I don’t know what the economic crisis has to do with the page-a-day calendar, but if you want ‘independent’ thoughts…. I would say we are only just starting down the rabbit hole. Expect a fundamental shift in the ways we utilize credit in the personal and commercial markets for many years to come. I would hope we can rebound towards recovery in the next 2-3 years…
