Can’t make up your mind what to order? Taste! craft eatery is for you. The menu offers a Duo ($16), Trio ($20), or Quartet ($29). You select two, three or four items from their extensive menu of choices and get small portions of each. None are full size but certainly satisfy.
Interesting concept.
For brunch, I sampled the So Gouda from the bowls, the Bahn Mi from the sliders and their fries! The bowl came filled with spinach, smoked gouda andouille and a poached egg, with my hollandaise on the side. The small bun, spread with garlic aioli, was filled with pulled pork, pickles, jalapeño peppers, daikon sprouts and cilantro. The serving of fries, unlike the other selections, was quite large.
One dining mate ordered The Fun Guy fries (with sauteed onions and diced Canadian bacon drizzled with hollandaise), Cali Benedict (grilled tomato, avocado, roasted jalapeño and a poached egg with hollandaise) and a Backyard brunch bowl (marinated peaches, pistachios, whipped cream, maple butter and syrup baked in a pancake).
The other had Norm Benedict (Canadian bacon, poached egg and hollandaise), Smoke Em (bacon, smoked gouda, a poached egg and hollandaise), Basic Blueberry (a pancake baked in a ramekin topped with blueberries and maple syrup).
We returned for dinner another night. This time we accompanied our choices with a bottle of Niner Bootjack, Paso Robles ($43), a cab, malbec, merlot and cab franc blend.
Again we each had a trio. I tried their blackened salmon slider, Cobb salad and special salad with spinach, pecans, cranberries and chevrè swimming in a raspberry vinaigrette.
Another had all the evening’s specials: the salad, a beef, bacon and chevre slider and the tri-tip, pepper Jack mac and cheese.
My other dining mate tried their beet salad, Brussels sprouts and sweet potato fries.
Since this visit was dinner, my dining mate also indulged in dessert. They sampled their creme brulee and chocolate torte ($8 each).
A fun spot for those who have trouble picking from a menu!
