On a rainy day recently, I met my financial advisor for lunch at Oceana, a restaurant he frequents because of its proximity. Expecting money talk over seafood, I was pleasantly pleased by the attentive service of good food.

I sipped a glass of their Sancerre with their lump crab cake in a puddle of mustard celery root remoulade topped with frisée. I’d go back for that. And for their parfait, reminiscent of the Good Humor truck’s orange sherbet creamsicle filled with vanilla ice cream ($15). Theirs tops olive oil cake with orange sorbet, orange cream and oatmeal crumble.

A delightful place to get lunch pre-theatre.
