We tried Quaker oatmeal pancake mix a few months ago which prompted us to buy a waffle maker. We enjoyed them so much we bought us a Cuisinart 4 slice waffle maker because we eat them at least twice a week. Our son and his wife were over the other night and they tried the waffles and they could not believe how fluffy they were. My son said he could not believe he liked healthy waffles. Anyway, we think that Quaker oatmeal pancake mix is great and we don’t eat any other kind. They don’t make you feel all over-full like regular mix does. Thank you for this product. Please continue making this available to us. We have not seen this at Wal Mart, though. Right now we get it at our local grocer Market Basket. Thank you, The Steins
Re: Quaker Oatmeal Pancake Mix
I had a choice of preparing the mix the “traditional” way(with whole egg) or “heart-healthy” (egg white only). I chose the traditional method, mainly because time was lacking. The way the mix went together with the other ingredients(egg, oil, and milk)was very smooth with no lumps, it blended quickly and easily, and the silver dollar grid that came with the griddle was a handy accessory, making for perfect “silver dollar” pancakes. Compared to other conventional mixes, this one mixes better and has a distinctive, nutty aroma and flavor. I’m impressed.
