It’s fire season!! I know this doesn’t hold true for everyone around the world (or even around the country), but the onset of fall means that it’s time for fireplaces, fire-pits, bonfires, warmth from flame… and inevitably roasted marshmallows!
So, this year I’ve putting thoughts of the Stay-Puff marshmallow man out of my head and focusing on Plush Puffs. Yes, Plush Puffs… they’re handmade, all natural, low-fat intensely flavored, gourmet marshmallows, and they are truly wonderful! Everyone loves marshmallows (hey, they’re just sugar!). Who can argue with such a light, fluffy, sticky, gooey goodness… especially when skewered and roasted to perfection!
Plush Puffs gourmet marshmallows are made the old fashioned way – handmade over two days of whipping the highest quality, all-natural ingredients at precise times and temperatures, and then cutting them by hand. Plush Puffs are flavorful enough to eat on their own, but are even more delicious when melted into hot chocolate or roasted into smores and other treats. Anywhere a marshmallow is, a Plush Puff will do better, melted over ice cream as a topping, mixed into rice crispy treats or just mashed between graham crackers with a Hershey’s bar. This is gourmet junkfood!
There are eight Plush Puffs flavors to choose from. My favorites of the group included: Vanilla Bean uses richly-flavored vanilla beans to enhance the billowy texture of the treat, creating an instant classic for toasting or melting into coffee or hot chocolate; gluten free, fat free with no high fructose corn syrup. Simply S’mores takes Vanilla Bean marshmallows and adds graham cracker pieces, a dusting of cocoa powder and sprinkling of chocolate chips to create a self-contained delight. Chocolate Chipetta marshmallows start with an intense cocoa flavor and are topped with micro chocolate chips for an unexpected crunch. Caramel Swirl tops Vanilla Bean marshmallows with creamy bands of rich caramel, divine when dipped into a chocolate fondue or steaming cup of cappuccino.
Other flavors include: Luscious Lemony Meringue, Peppi-Mint, Toasted Coconut and Sydney’s Cinnamon.
