Pete & Gerry’s is now offering Heirloom Eggs, available with pastel blue or chocolate-brown shell coloring,  known for deep yellow yolks and very rich flavor.   The farmers raise the heirloom chickens in cage-free environments without the use of antibiotics. The blue eggs are from Ameraucana hens, the chocolate-brown eggs are from Marans hens.

Each egg, about 50 grams, contains 70 calories, 1.5 grams saturated fat (of 4.5 grams total fat), 65 milligrams sodium and 6 grams protein.
