The original Lea & Perrins Worcestershire Sauce contains all-natural ingredients other than high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). One little teaspoon of that sauce adds 5 calories and 65 milligrams sodium to food. The new reduced sodium contains less than half the sodium or only 25 milligrams and is made with sugar rather than HFCS. The Thick Classic variety could be called Thick Classic Reduced Sodium since it contains half the sodium of the original plus xanthan gum as a thickener. The new sauces are available nationwide and retail for $3.09 per 10-ounce bottle.

Finally!
The manufacturerers are being nice to us!
So much bad rep to the HFCS and no one seems to care.
I’m a diabetic and try to eat very low sugar contents.
So this is fantastic!
Sugar works but whole sugars like sorgum or maple would be better. It makes a difference in my blood sugar levels.
Please keep up the cleanup on old recipes! We’re dying out here!
