The Fifth Annual Iron Chef Elm City 2012 will be held Sunday April 22, 2012 at 11:45 am at Delia, the Viking Center of New England in Wallingford.
The competition is a battle between three chefs, requiring them to demonstrate their culinary prowess, while testing their skills against each other. Each chef must create an appetizer, entrée and dessert using the “secret ingredient,” sponsored by a CT based food company that is revealed at the start of the competition.
Competing this year are David Brooks, owner of Judies European Bakery, Ben Gaffney of Atticus Bookstore Cafe and Jeremy Martindale, Executive chef at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale.
Jim Masters, Host of WELI Home Shopping Show, will be the evening’s Emcee. Judges include
Pam Anderson, cookbook author, Sarah Breckenridge, Web Producer at Fine Cooking Magazine and
Jane Stern, Food columnist and author, best known for “Roadfood.”
