tastes like sugar, no aftertaste and its natural.
I tried this product and it tastes great. I recommend people try it.
I signed up for a free sample at http://www.freeidealsweet.com. I am looking forward to trying it!
I cannot tolerate ANY of the no calorie sweeteners, the aftertaste is to much for me. Ideal has a very little bit of an aftertaste, but not enough to outweigh the benefits. It will replace sugar in my coffee from now on.
This is the best sweetener I have ever tasted. It cooks up well in baked goods. It is great in coffee and deserts and there is never an aftertaste and no worries about chemicals also my dentist uncle tells me it is very good for your teeth and also great for diabetics. I love this stuff and think everyone should try it.
I bought a package of the Ideal Sweetener because I had never noticed it before. I had a cake recipe that I wanted to make for my husband who had been diagnosed as pre-diabetic. I needed to do some tweaking to lower the carb count and also make it sugar free. I made the cake using Ideal and unsweetened almond milk intsead of the 2 percent milk that was requested in the recipe. As always, I tasted the uncooked batter. Surprisingly, there was no aftertaste!! When I served the cake, neither my husband or myself could taste ‘sugar free’ sweetener! And we are both very picky!!
This morning I made myself a cup of hot Irish Breakfast Tea using Ideal to sweeten it. It tasted just like sugar!!! I am in heaven! I had given up drinking hot Irish Breakfast tea because none of the sweeteners taste good in it!!! It is fantastic!!! You have to try it!!!!
Ideal No-Calories Sweetener may contain sucralose as their sister company, Lexington, manufactures it. Lexington is hiring David C. Baker, Ph.D., from the University of Tennessee as their chemist overseeing the production of sucralose.

Unnatural sweetners and no-cal sweetners usually contain food reactants or other ingredients that lead to hypoglycemic episodes. So, no thanks, I pass on it! Stick with modest amounts of sugar or reduce the amount of sugar used in recipes to reduce calorie count. Alternative sugars are still the best–beet sugar, fructose, sorghum sugar, and maple syrup sugar.
Blech on this stuff!!
My girlfriend has a medical condition called Intersticial cystitus which makes her very sensitive to a lot of foods, drinks and sweetener and everything she ingests. She loves ideal because it doesnt affect her bladder at all and it tastes great to boot. Thank you to everyone who played a role in making this wonderful product. It has made her life much more comfortable which in turn and I think all the fellas will agree with me made my life much more enjoyable.
I am very disappointed in the product ideal sweetner. first I made persimmon pudding for thanmkgiving using ideal. It was very dry and I blammed the persimmons saying it must be because it was a dry summer. Today I made sugar cookies and once again my baking produced a dry csrdboard textuer.I don’t know why the product turns out so dry, but if you can figure it out please feel freew to tell me.
I have been using ideal in my morning coffee for some time and am very pleased. I use two packets for each cup. I do need to have half & half or similar cream to add so the color of the coffee is lighter and the taste is right for me. I like the taste of some flavored coffee creamers, but I don’t like that they also add partially hydrogenated additives such as coconut. Anyway, I give my vote in favor of ideal.
I just LOVE it in my coffee, I’m sensative to after taste also, but there’s just none! Which is GREAT,
I LOVE Ideal!!! I wish more stores stocked it-it is SO much better than any of the other “natural” sweetners without the “bad stuff” in Sweet’n Low, Equal, etc. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE try to get it in WALMART, KROGER, PUBLIX, chains-my Food Lion stopped carrying it and I bought all they had on the shelf!
Good News! As of this week Kroger launched an Ideal/Kroger Co-Brand! 2600 Kroger, Ralph’s and Fred Meyer stores nationwide will carry the Granular, Brown and 100 count, these items can be found on the shelf in purple Ralph’s, Fred Meyer and Kroger packaging.
That IS good news!!! Kroger, here I come!
I have been using Ideal packets instead of sugar in my coffee for about a month now. Love the stuff! I drink a lot of coffee throughout the day and this was my greatest source of sugar intake. I was able to significantly reduce the amount of sugar I ingest on a daily basis because I do enjoy the taste (no after taste)of Ideal. My biggest complaint is that after my initial 2 purchases, I can’t find the packets in stock.

I love Xylitol as a sweetener! It is naturally produced, it is good for you, it doesn’t break down when you cook or bake with it, and it tastes great. BUT – beware – this Ideal Sweetener contains sucralose (Splenda), which is NOT good for you. You will see it in the fine print of ingrediants. I hate how Sucralose is being hidden in all kinds of foods that do not need it. I even found it in Pedialite, which is made for babies who are sick!! So just buy Xylitol, NOT Ideal.
I have found ideal at amazon.com.I order 5 to 6 100 ct. packages at a time to buy enough to get free shipping. they seem to advertise the 50 pack, but insist on the 100 and it is listed and cheaper then 2-50s. I love the taste.
