At Vermilion will present a Globetrotting Mother’s Day meal — a  six-course, six country, two continent gustatory journey, making stops in Venezuela, India, Brazil, Sri Lanka, At Vermillion mezzanine dining low resArgentina and Mexico.

Regardless of how they map their dining route, all mothers will be treated to one of At Vermilion’s signature “herb & spice” Champagne fizzes, choice of blueberry cardamom, jalapeno cilantro or prickly-pear ginger.

At Vermilion’s special menu starts with Venezuelan duck arepas in a Goan vindaloo seasoning, followed by Indian Mughlai malai chicken kabab, basted in cream and coriander, seared in the tandoor. A Brazilian seafood caldeirada melded with coconut milk, fenugreek, cumin and chili follows, before the journey continues further south for the grilled Argentinean churrasco steak marinated in tandoori masala. From South America, it’s back to Asia for miris, a Sri Lankan filet of fish, baked with a medley of 16 spices. The meal will conclude in Mexico with a duo of desserts – cool horchata (liquid rice pudding) with crisp warm churros.

Available on Mother’s Day, Sunday May 9 from noon to 3 p.m. and 5 to 10 p.m., for $55 per adult ($90 with wine pairings); $20 for children five to 12; free for children five and under. (Kids can also sample a mini-Thali – complete Indian platter, complimentary for children five and under). The regular a la carte lunch and dinner menus will also be available.
