Five Point Snacks recently announced the launch a line of salty snacks with a pledge and commitment to helping U.S. veterans. The company will donate the greater of 11% of its profits or up to 3¢ per bag sold to organizations that support, care for and benefit veterans. Each of the five products commemorates one of the five branches of the U.S. military :
- Marines — Major Murphy, kettle cooked potato chips,available in 9-ounce or 2-ounce bags ($3.49; $1.49)
- Navy — Flotilla Tortilla, whole grain white corn tortilla chips in 10-ounce bag ($3.99)
- Coast Guard — Sailor Knots, mini pretzel knots, 16-ounce and 2.25-ounce bags ($3.29; $.99)
- Air Force — Airman Popcorn, classic American white popcorn in 8-ounce bag ($2.99 )
- Army — G.I. Crunches, strong cheddar cheese crunchies in 8.5-ounce and 2.25-ounc bags ($2.99; $.99)
EDITOR NOTE: Sorry Army! That snack is chock-full of additives, so we can’t recommend it — even if for a good cause.
