More than two dozen of NYC’s top female chefs will serve savory and sweet signature dishes at the Seventh Annual “A Second Helping of Life” on Monday, September 20, 7 p.m., at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers.
Chef Alex Guarnaschelli (Butter restaurant and host of Food Network’s “Alex’s Day Off”) will serve as executive chef at this fundraiser to support SHARE, a not for profit organization that offers free peer support to women with breast or ovarian cancer, their families and friends. Participating chefs will each be paired with a guest celebrity to serve signature dishes. Food will be complemented by a selection of fine wines and spirits. Julie Reiner, owner of the Clover Club, will create a signature SHARE cocktail for the evening. Attendees will be able to bid on silent and live auction items, including a limited edition hot pink Vespa created to raise awareness of the fight against breast cancer.
