Since my initial move to Atlanta a few years back, I’ve realized there are certain things that are sacred, things that you just can’t make fun of, no matter what. University of Georgia football is probably number one on the list, though Chick-fil-A and peaches are a close second and third. I think we’ve found the holy trinity..

Chick-fil-A is one of the largest fast food companies in existence (though completely foreign to me when I got to Atlanta – Connecticut is actually one of the few states without a single franchise, odd!). The Georgia-based company is historically famous for their chicken sandwiches, though since the launch of their handspun milkshakes a few years back, they have found a new and very popular niche. I knew it was only a matter of time before they would release A Peach Milkshake… and now they’ve done it.

Just in time for summer, this cold concoction is made with real peaches and Icedream® (Chick-Fil-A’s icecream… I don’t know) and topped with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. Since Chick-fil-A first introduced Milkshakes, the desserts have proven to be one of the most popular products on their menu, introducing limited-time flavors annually. A Mint Cookies and Cream Milkshake in 2007 was followed by a Coffee Caramel Milkshake last spring and a Peppermint Chocolate Chip Milkshake during the holidays last year. Peach is just the latest (and most revered) new flavor to roll out.
