There's a pourer (no more drips on table cloths), a filter (no more grit in the bottom of your glass), chiller (keeping your wine at optimal temperature), and a bottle stopper. The stopair  bottle stopper is like having a built-in vacuum pump to keep your wine as tasty as the first time you opened it. Although the items are sold separately, the three-piece set sells for $60.

Mambo Cocina Latina, New Haven

I stopped in for lunch at the newly opened Mambo Cocina Latina, on State Street in New Haven — a collaboration of Chef Alex Morales with the owners of Goodfellas and Bin 100. I inadvertently was handed the dinner menu and had decided on the grilled octopus. Ted, our waiter, graciously agreed to see if the kitchen would prepare that for me. I was go glad they did and recommend it. Their tender octopus ($15) comes served a top a chilled fingerling potato and roasted pepper salad all drizzled with aioli (garlic mayo). We also sampled their fish tacos ($13), with tempura fish over avocado, lettuce pico de gallo and [...]

Frieda’s Organic Finger Limes

The Organic Finger Limes are specialty limes that have a similar taste to lemon and lime.  The cylinder shaped limes have an inner flesh that is bubble-like. Each teaspoon serving has 20 calories.     bonnie: Cut in half and squeeze to find lime juice pearls  that pop with flavor in this citrus, originally from Australia.  I used the the caviar-like bubbles recently to add an unexpected crunch of tart, lemony-lime flavor to the Moscow Mules cocktail that I served.
