Women In Culinary Leadership Evening at Vermilion

In an effort to examine the role of women in leadership positions in the culinary industry, the James Beard Foundation and Vermilion are launching the "Women in Culinary Leadership Program."  The initiative will be announced September 18, 2012 at the "Women in Culinary Leadership Evening" at Vermilion in New York City in an event featuring a thought-provoking panel discussion plus a five-course Indian-Latin fusion dinner. Plate by Plate: Food & Wine Tasting Benefit

Plate by Plate, an annual food and wine tasting benefit on September 22, 2012, features the Bay Area's top restaurants and wineries including Per Diem, Credo, Gitane and Cafe Claude, Piperade, Chaya Brasserie, Georges, Gundlach Bundschu, St. Supery, Grgich Hills and more. Top female chefs will again serve signature dishes to fight cancer. In fact, more than two dozen of NYC's top female chefs will serve savory and sweet dishes at the Ninth Annual "A Second Helping of Life" on Monday, September 24, 7 p.m., at Pier 60 at Chelsea Piers.
