SFChefs 2010

SFChefs 2010 in being held at Union Square in San Francisco, today through August 15th, 2010 to celebrate the local flair and regional flavors of San Francisco. This food, wine and spirits event offers opportunities to interact with notable chefs, mixologists and culinary personalities. Participating chefs include Gary Danko, Tyler Florence and Thomas Keller, among others. SFChefs 2010 will support the Golden Gate Restaurant Association Scholarship Foundation, which grants financial scholarships to students from the Bay Area entering culinary and hospitality programs. The Newport Winefest

The Newport Winefest, a celebration of New England’s culinary culture,  takes place on the water at the picturesque Newport Yachting Center in Rhode Island, August 20-22, 2010. New Haven Food & Wine Festival 2010

The third annual New Haven Food & Wine Festival returns on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 from 5 – 7:30 pm to be held during the 2010 Pilot Pen Tennis at Yale. Dinners at the Farm in Connecticut

Dinners at the Farm — now in its fourth year — is an open-air celebration of Connecticut's farms, food, and community. For twelve nights in August, River Tavern (Chester, CT) chefs will prepare a multi-course feast of Connecticut grown ingredients on two Connecticut farms, White Gate Farm in East Lyme and Barberry Hill Farm in Madison. Official Tales of the Cocktail Festival Cocktail

And the winner is: Death in the South Pacific by Washington bartender Evan Martin. It's now the “official cocktail” of the 2010 annual culinary and cocktail festival, Tales of the Cocktail.
