Looking for a late brunch one Sunday afternoon, we decided on Craftbar which served bunch Saturday and Sunday until 4 pm. Craftbar — the informal sister Shrimp & Grits on BiteoftheBest.comrestaurant of Craft — is where Chef Tom Colicchio serves simple seasonal food.

We sipped a vodka bloody Mary ($11) garnished with a pickled baby carrot, while perusing both the brunch and lunch menu. We selected one from each.

The Shrimp and Grits ($14)  consists of  cooked split shrimp served over grits with sliced chorizo, a poached egg, and a piece of deep fried cornmeal-coated okra. The dish was panini on Biteofthebest.comtasty other than the over-coated with cornmeal and then fried too long okra. That, and very mediocre sliced bread on the plate.

What we really enjoyed from the lunch menu was an organic chicken, cheddar, roasted tomato and arugula panini ($12). Still a tad hungry we split a simple dessert of a substantial slice of Cypress Grove Humboldt fog Goat  cheese ($4) served with small slices of a fresh  fruit and nut bread
