What do you get when you mix lemon verbena with rose geranium, or lemongrass with mint and vanilla? What about lavender blended with thyme, or cloves with cardamom and cinnamon? Mix any of these combinations into artesian well water and the resulting flavors are truly amazing. Intrigued? Well, I was too and what I found is that you can only find these odd herbal combos in Ayala’s Herbal Water. I’ve been fooled by Vitamin Water before, tasty, refreshing, but still too much sugar and too many calories. I’m always on the look out for good water alternatives and I’ve found a great one (OK.. well, we all found it last year, but I’ve come to think it deserved a tidbite, as only a Bite of the Rest mention was proffered last time).
Ayala’s Herbal Water introduced one of their newest flavors, Lemon Verbena Geranium, at a Boston organic trade show last year. It was the new intro that brought it to our attention first. The unique drink is infused with aromatic herbs producing an unusually pure, fruity lemon essence. A clean fresh finish and floral touch make it a taste that is memorable and desirable. It’s got lasting taste, so much so that a year later it’s still on my mind.
Dr. Ayala Laufer Cahana, creator of Ayala’s Herbal Water, has broken new ground in the bottled water industry, something I thought no longer possible, especially from a small fish in such a big pond. Ayala’s though, is in fact the first nationally available bottled water flavored with USDA Certified Organic herbs. Best… they contain no calories, no preservatives, no artificial flavorings and are completely sugar free.

Ayala’s is awesome – particularly the lemongrass mint vanilla – yum! But Metromint’s Chocolate Mint Water is pretty fabulous too!
