Danny Meyer's announced plans to bring the Shake Shake to Philly during the second half of 2012. The planned location is 2000 Sansom Street, near Rittenhouse Square. This modern day "roadside" burger stand started in Madison Park in New York City and is known for it's its delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, beer, wine and more. Philadelphia's Restaurant Weeks runs for two weeks this September. The event takes place Monday, September 12 - Friday, September 16 and Sunday, September 18 - Friday, September 23. Last month Pastures of Plenty farm, artists C. Gregory and Jenny Gummersall and musician Tyller Gummersall came together for an evening of art, music, and food to raise money for the Conscious Alliance organization. Big Bang Catering provided locally grown, mostly organic Colorado food for the sold-old event that brought individuals from as far east as Maryland. Lyle Davis, — chef/owner of Pastures of Plenty farm and Big Bang Catering — served local artisan cheeses, Colorado peaches with polenta in a gorgonzola sauce, a traditional Greek salad, pork loin, and grilled shrimp with Dante, Avant and Parducci wines.
