Xocolatti Opened in Soho

Xocolatti (choco-latti) — a shop for chocolate lovers — opened recently in Soho, New York (172 Prince Street). The name is a creative twist on the Aztec word xocolātl (cacao), which the ancients believed to be a food of the gods and was a luxury reserved for royalty. The store features an assortment of handmade truffles, slates and authentic gelato. The gelato is made from the freshest fruits and non-homogenized milk from local farms. Mango Taste-Off in Hartford

The Mango Hometown Tour is coming to Hartford on Friday, August 26, from 3:30 – 5 p.m. as Chef Chris Torla of Trumbull Kitchen and Chef Billy Grant of Grant's compete in the Ultimate Mango Taste-Off, courtesy of the National Mango Board. The chefs will each create a recipe made for late-night dining using fresh mangos.
