Necco Wafers have gone back to the candy’s 145-year-old roots. The company has replacedoriginal_group_1 the artificial flavors and colors with ones from beets, cabbage and cocoa powder, to name a few. In addition, they’ve removed the controversial high fructose corn syrup.

I like that they’re made of more natural ingredients, and that they are fat free, gluten free and modest in calories. A junior roll contains 50 all-sugar calories, the large rolls 210.

choc_packaging_4In addition to the traditional flavors (Orange, Lemon, Cinnamon, Clove, Licorice, Wintergreen and Milk Chocolate), Necco has introduced a chocolate version, with Milk Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, White Chocolate and Mocha wafers.
