I just learned the Connecticut doughnuts were sent to Michael Jackson’s funeral — at the family’s request.

Robbin Seipold — the person in the know in New Haven who shares her knowledge with a social email list of over 300 who’s who in New Haven — sent this info to her “List.” Robbin culled this from www.tmz.com’s exclusive reporting of it — which is also where I obtained this photo:

“Michael Jackson’s burial will be in good taste — right down to the delicious doughnuts.

Jackson’s family had a minor obsession with the “Ricotta Doughnuts” from Market Restaurant in Stamford, CT — and we’ve learned boxes of them will be shipped for the service tonight.

Here’s the dessert’s delectable description: Cinnamon-sugared doughnuts made with fresh ricotta, crushed amaretti cookies and a creme angalaise.”
