Figi’s Food and Wine Festival— hosted by Air Pacific and Tourism Fiji — will take place Wednesday, March 14 – Saturday, March 17, 2012 in Denarau — a resort island located 20 minutes from the Nada International airport.
The event will have a variety of activities including celebrity presentations, master classes, cooking demonstration, culinary workshops, gourmet lunches and degustation dinners as well as Kids’ Cooking Workshops. Highlights from the festival include touring the Suva Produce Market, lunch with Festival ambassador Robert Oliver, daily happy hours, evening entertainment and more.
International and celebrity chefs, including Robert Oliver, Manu Feildel, Ben O’Donoghue, Michael Meredith and Peter Gordon will also dish up delicacies from the South Pacific’s cuisine with Air Pacific offering a 5% discount on flights for travelers attending the Food & Wine Festival (Air Pacific has direct 10-hour flights from LAX 4 times a week).
Three day festival passes are on sale now for $777 FJD (approximately $436.00 USD) and one day festival passes are on sale now for $333 FJD (approximately $187.00 USD). Adult festival passes include daily signature lunches, access to all guest chef presentations, access to culinary workshops and master classes, themed coffee breaks and morning teas, and access to the Hospitality Trade Expo. Children (0-12) attend free excluding lunches and Kids Cooking Workshop.
