Yesterday on June 18th, I baked chocolate chip cookies from a 40 oz tub of Nestle cookie dough. I ate some raw. The tub is numbered 9127 5753 4Ho4 and use date is 08 Sept 2009. Am I in danger? Thx, Jan

Jan, I’ve reached out to Nestle for an official response; stay tuned for that.
If you cooked the dough, you should be fine as the problems are associated with eating UNCOOKED or raw cookie dough.

If you’re not experiencing any symptoms, I wouldn’t worry about it. But to ease your worry, you might want to touch base with your doctor or health care provider. And if you do have any of the symptoms listed (check out today’s TidBite for details) be sure to report that to state or local health authorities.

Hi Bonnie–Hope all is well! I love the FAGE Greek yogurt as much as you do…
I see that your reader Melissa questioned whether our Nestle Toll House items are affected by the peanut butter recall. I’m happy to tell you that no NestlĂ© USA products have been affected or recalled as a result of this issue. NestlĂ© USA does not purchase any peanut butter, paste or other peanut products from either Peanut Corporation of America, the company that announced a nationwide recall of peanut butter, or King Nut Company.

I checked the list of recalled products. Tubs are listed but only by UPC code. Call Nestle Consumer Services at 1-800-559-5025 to find out more or visit: http://www.verybestbaking.com/products/tollhouse/product-recall.aspx for the list.
