Jane Butel’s Southwestern Cooking School, now in its 27th year features Southwestern and Mexican Cooking with two weekend classes this fall — October 8-10, and November 12-14. The classes are taught in Jane’s professional kitchen in her Corrales, New Mexico home.
Each of the hands-on classes is preceded by a review of the major ingredients as well as hints and tips for success with the recipes. Each attendee receives an apron, cookbook and a diploma.
Butel’s school was selected in 1996 as one of the top four in the world by “Bon Appetit” magazine. For the three years, her Mexican Regional School was conducted at the Fairmont Princess in Scottsdale, AZ, it was awarded “Best in the US” by Gayot.com for the Top Ten Hotel based Cooking Schools in the World.
