The Lower Eastside Girls Club announces the opening of Celebrate Cafe –  an entrepreneurial and job training program that employs local teenagers and young adults. Neighborhood moms celebrate_promoand young women who go through their programs manage the cafe, and the servers are teenagers from one of their leadership and career training programs.
Celebrate Cafe is open daily between 11AM-11PM serving pastries (from the Sweet Things Bake Shop on Avenue C), fair trade coffees and teas, grilled sandwiches, farmer’s market salads, freshly baked fruit pies, organic hot dogs, organic popcorn, and more. Every dollar goes directly back towards their Girls Club programs.
