The Pints for Prostates Thomas Hooker Brewing Tasting will take place on June 19, 2010 from 6-8:30 p.m. at Thomas Hooker Brewing, 16 Tobey Rd., Bloomfield, Conn., and raise funds to fight prostate cancer.
The event will include a selection of fresh Thomas Hooker brews, food from Black Eyed Sally’s BBQ and music from the Biscuit Rollers blues trio. Attendees will get the chance to win several great beer related door prizes and for a $10 donation will be eligible for a drawing for a trip for two to the Great American Beer Festival taking place in Denver, Colo., in September 2010.
“Pints for Prostates uses the universal language of beer to reach men with a critical health message,” said Christopher Palanzini, event organizer. “We decided to host a tasting of some great local beer in the Hartford area to help get the word out to guys in our region in a fun way.”
Tickets for the Pints for Prostates Thomas Hooker Brewing Tasting are $40 and on sale now at www.pintsforprostates.org.
Pints for Prostates is a registered 501(c)3 charity and the funds it raises support programs that assist men with prostate cancer and research aimed at improving care and finding a cure for the disease.
