Connolly’s Pub & Restaurant was right across the street from the Millenium hotel where I was attending a food conference last month. Since it was raining, that’s where an old friend and I ended up to grab a bite and gab.
The Mango Grilled Chicken with Applewood Smoked Bacon, White Cheddar ($13) came overloaded with cooked chicken on a soft brioche roll that needed more of the Mango Chutney Mayo mango to make it moist enough to eat. Fries were quite good.
What was hearty that warmed the soul that cold rainy day was Connolly’s Potato Boat, the special of the day, of a potato skin filled homemade chili and topped with Jack-cheddar cheese ($10). That’s what I’d order if I returned.
Consider Connolly’s fine for a quick bite.
