Braeburn Restaurant will be hosting a Big Apple Harvest Week from October 11-17, braeburn_apples2010 to celebrate all the goodness fall brings.

Located in the heart of the West Village, Braeburn is co-owned by Chef Brian Bistrong and John Paul O’Neil. Chef Bistrong combines a lifelong passion for cooking with his simple, straightforward and ingredient-driven culinary style

Name after the sweet and tart Braeburn apple, the restaurant offers seasonal American cuisine in a contemporary country setting. During Big Apple Harvest week, Braeburn’s Fall menu will focus on apples including a signature dish and appetizer, the Roasted Beet Salad made with Braeburn apples, spicy walnuts, and goat cheese fondues; Warm Smoked Trout appetizer with roasted butternut squash, toasted pumpkin seeds, and a brown butter vinaigrette; a salad made with apples, celery leaf, and frisee; Long Island Duck made with wheat berries, turnips and apples; and for dessert Apple Cobbler made with Petticoat Lane Apples from Chef Bistrong’s home in Connecticut and served with buttermilk ice cream.

Braeburn also has several varieties of apple cider available including Doc’s Hard Apple Cider, a semi-dry, effervescent libation offering a crisp taste and a refreshing finish. For more information click here.
